As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will provide guidance and encouragement, through relationship building and direct interaction with individuals receiving services. You will advocate for the individuals in all aspects of life, including community engagement, while advocating for their distinct choice. You will support individuals in essential living skills, assuring they are living the life that matches their hopes and dreams. You will provide transportation to appointments and other events. You will be required to maintain documentation, perform record keeping and participate in periodic meetings/training according to regulations and LSS standards.
Minimum Requirements
A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
The ability to successfully pass a background check.
Basic computer skills.
Able to read and write in the English language.
The desire to help individuals with disabilities achieve their personal hopes and dreams.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
